Additional Chief Inspector course dates and a resource link

Demand for the Chief Inspectors training course was more than we originally expected and as the class size is limited, we have added two new dates for Edmonton (Feb 4 & 5) and Calgary (March 11 & 12). More dates and locations will be added in the spring. We have also added a link to OnBoard-Now (Onboard Consulting Services). This site has both public and subscription components, and is a great resource for pipeline construction inspectors in North America. Dave Smith operates the site and also moderates Facebook groups specific to the pipeline inspection community. A great site for inspectors to have in their favorites.

Year of the updates

2019 will see both the CSA Z662 Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems and the CSA B51 Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Pressure Piping Code Updated. With the B51 scheduled for later this month and the Z662 scheduled for late June NASA Corp. is taking two different approaches for update training. For the B51 changes we will not be offering a standalone course, but rather a special registration for the second day of our Oil and Gas Facility and Piping Practices training. This training is structured in such a way that all the material pertaining to the CSA B51 is covered on the second day. The special registration will include the update qualification exam and will be available as soon as the new Code is published. For the CSA Z662 a 1 day standalone course will be offered. This training will be suitable for all aspects of the code and include the update exam which will qualify for the renewal of any Z662-15 based certificate. More information will be available closer to publication.
